What kind of racing can I do on a 1993 cr 125?
Would it be fine for me to run in todays beginner class or does my bike qualify for post vintage racing?
I have never raced before so yes this would be my first season. I figured this bike would be ok to get me started in the sport then hopefully in a few years buy a new bike. Probably going to be a 4 stroke =/
You can race it in a beginner class or some sort of “vintage” class. I am in Michigan and we have a non-current class that is for bikes 7 years old or older, that would probably be perfect for you. Check at signup for what classes they have, or go to http://www.ama-cycle.org/amrace/events/events.asp
This should get you in the direction of finding events in your area, and tell you what district your in. Check the district site for rules, usually they have a list of classes and legal bikes for each.
