What are the best grade 7 and grade 8 music theory workbooks?
I have grade 6 theory and wish to teach myself grades 7 and 8 theory. I know there the official ABRSM workbook (music theory in practice) and then there’s also the ones with the white front cover with a large number on it. Which of the two would you recommend, or are there better books out there?
On their websites you can usually download .pdf files explaining the content. It also depends on if you are interested in classical or contemporary because they are quite different exams. LCM does popular music theory exams. I wouldn’t know what is more credible or not but I suppose one way to find out could be to compare the content and see which (if either) looks more advanced.
