How do I slap my bass correctly?
for some reason I can’t hit my A string without hitting the E string with the bottom part of my thumb, and if I do manage, it isn’t audible enough…any suggestions or sites that you know of to teach proper technique?

Outstrech your thumb more. The same thing happened to me in the beginning. Also try slapping with different angles of your thumb or moving your hand around. Or slap the A string by putting your hand upright (like a thumb’s up and then slap the bass)
