A question for THE BEATLES fan ~!!!! Regards to the Box Set?
I have seen 13 album remastered box set for about $180.
But I have seen one with 16 CDs plus DVD box set in the same looking box. What are these?
I am thinking about buying the latest Box set release, but bit confused. Any comment / suggestion ?
The Stereo set has all of their (British) albums: Please Please Me, With the Beatles, Hard Day’s Night, Beatles For Sale, Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, “the white album” (2 discs), Yellow Submarine, Let it Be and Abbey Road, plus a two disc “Past Masters” collection and the DVD. 16 CDs.
The Mono set is similar, but it eliminates Yellow Submarine, Let It Be and Abbey Road (since there are no mono mixes for those albums), and replaces “Past Masters” with a two disc “Mono Masters” collection. 13 CDs.
I have the Stereo set and I’m very happy with it. But the biggest deal is being made of the Mono set, and it’s supposed to sound amazing. (I just wanted to go for the set that had all the albums, despite knowing that the earlier stuff was originally worked on in mono.)
