How would you make a soundless key of an electronic keyboard ( piano ) work again?
Some of the keys of our electronic keyboard/piano doesn’t sound all the time, there are times that they would sound and the next time you hit it, it wouldn’t. I remember an old friend telling me that his father pours disinfecting alcohol ( the one’s we use in cleaning wounds ) into the defective keys of their electronic keyboard. I have a doubt about that. Is that just ok or would that damage the key permanently?
I think the only problem with the keys is that it’s dirty inside but I have no means of cleaning it unless I open the entire instrument..
Please answer if you know something I could try… tnx…

If this is really problem with you then do any of the following
1. If yours is synth instead of only keyboard then check the parameter Attack by using manual and keep it as low as possible
2.It may be due to loosing the carbon which often takes place. Bring carbon stickers and attach below the rubber below the key (inside near Circuit board)
3. Check wire connections
4. Check weather key is broken at lower surface which may be leading to imperfect contact between carbon sticker and Circuit board
5.check the solderrings
Remember do not use harmful chemicals. I prefer use carbon dots or carbon liquid. By doing so again that key will become new and perfect.
