Favorite jazz guitarists?
I have a tie between Jim Hall and Mike Stern. They help fill my jazz guitar needs of the classics and fusion.
Down Beat Magazine February 2009 issue features 75 of the all time great guitarists the late great Wes Montgomery is at the top of the list.
Their are only five guitarists in the hall of fame ( Down Beat ) hall of fame. They r – Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery,
Jim Hendrix, and Frank Zappa. A very small list but one that shows the impact the guitar has had on music since it made it way into jazz in the 1920.
