What questions will be asked in a Dip LCM piano diplomas viva voche?
I’m doing a London College diploma in piano in a couple of weeks time, playing Clair de Lune by Debussy and movements 2 & 3 of Beethoven’s Pathetique. Does anyone know what sort of questions will be asked in the exam about the pieces?

“The questions were mainly on the form of the pieces and the historical context, contempories etc. There were a lot of questions and they were fired at me rather fast so I can’t really remember the specifics. I did a lot of reading before the exam and was glad I did – they expect you to have the answer ready and don’t really give you much time to think, but they also didn’t give me much time to elaborate either. Not sure how it compares to other diplomas as this is the first one I have done. Make sure you do your research on your pieces and composers, and get your teacher to give you a test viva before hand.”
