Making Your Home Dumbbell Workout Work For You

If there’s not enough time in the day to workout at the local gym or enough money to burn on an entire home gym, you might want to consider trying a home dumbbell workout. You can ask a trainer to show you, go out and buy a how-to DVD or even download an instructional video podcast. Above all else, make sure you put in the time necessary to learn how to do the exercises properly before you integrate new exercises into your routine. It’s important that you talk to your doctor to be certain you’re in the clear.

Lastly, to truly begin an effective long-term workout regimen that you can stick to, don’t take on everything at once. Quality dumbbell workout programs are usually spread out over a period of at least 90 days and move up from beginner level exercises to intermediate to advanced and then to expert. To begin with, you should only be doing one set of every exercise and only 10-15 repetitions of each one. It won’t take long before, you’ll be doing 8 sets of every exercise with ease.
