Playing over different feels in music?
Current insufficient guitar teacher has result in this… I am 16, I have been playing for roughly three-and-a-half many really searching to understand more about jazz… I understand the fundamental modes and also have lately acquired details about advanced modes that we intend to study within the next quantity of days/several weeks
My issue is… jamming over various feels. When individuals play huge metal lick or perhaps a straight ahead rock lick, I am good by using it, pentatonics are fine by me… however when it involves playing something similar to walking bass line: F A C D Eb D C A or F Eb D Ab G Db C… I’m able to exercise the size like… clearly the very first is F mixolydian which puts you in Bb Major… but the 2nd the first is Bb mixolydian into Ab major (correct me if i am wrong about either)… My primary issue is the notes to experience round the neck… I attempt to sing out what I am playing however i genuinely have No Clue… also it arrives sounding Shizen Houzen…
Any help could be appreciated about this subject…
statistic state that a lot of people can enjoy better thn they swing…
and many ppl can’t do both simultaneously..
but u need regular rock.. it may sound better..
i do not like country much nevertheless its ok..
jazz is kinda kool to… somtimes its really smooth..
