RHH: Can I get some comments/ratings on my beat…………..?
Rate it 1 to 10, comment, you can even break it down into bassline, drums, groove, etc, if you want. I just want some feedback, it’s my first beat. Best answer goes to the person who rates, comments, and guesses the most out of the 3 samples I used.

You have the right idea, especially with the drums. Don’t listen to this guy saying “the drums are too repetitive” that’s bullsh*t. I suppose a drum solo would be better? Lol, no the drums were like the best part. The bass was good, and the saxophone was nice. But really, I can only give you 6 out of ten because their wasn’t really an obvious melody. I mean technically their was, but the main sample WAS actually too repetitive, it didn’t really do anything. I know with that style it’s not so much about melody as just creating an atmosphere, which you did pick the right samples for, but you just didn’t have enough going on. Your loop really should be doing something new for at least two bars. Anyway, to sum up, you have the right elements, but you just don’t quite have a dope loop right there as it is now. If I had made that beat, I would probably keep the sample, and just go back and try to make something better out of it.
