what size acoustic guitar should i buy? or something easy to learn on?
im 5’2″ girl and im kinda small. i want to play guitar but i held the full sized adult one and it was kinda big and uncomfortable to hold. i know they make smaller ones but i dont want to buy a childrens guitar because they are pieces of crap. what is the length of a full sized guitar? i went to the guitar store and they had a smaller one that is called a concert guitar or a lady guitar or something like that. it was really comfortable to hold it but i couldnt afford it. what is the length of the smaller one?
im just going to buy one on craigslist. some adds include the length of the guitar and this could really help.

You are big enough for a full size guitar. Full size guitars have a scale length of 24 1/2″ to 25 1/2″. What you need to understand is that there are a variety of body shapes within full size guitars. The most popular shape for acoustic guitars is called dreadnought, which is almost certainly what you tried and found to be uncomfortably large. However there are full size acoustic guitars with smaller body shapes. These are called grand concert, parlor, and auditorium shapes and any of them would be fine for you.
