Are medium gauge acoustic strings good for blues guitar?
This is for slide and non slide on my Dean Performer E.
I can easily bend and play fast on light gauge strings. But I got the medium strings so I can play slide easier.
I think you get the best of both worlds going medium. You’re gonna get great tone in the bottom strings but still have a good deal of playability on the top. Also, thicker strings are gonna handle alternate tunings better, it won’t feel like your playing a soggy noodle.
