Help for a make up beginner? Primer…?
Okay, I have LOréal Paris Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer, only problem is that it’s a small little pot that the thing comes in and I’m not particularly sure how much I need to apply and generally how to apply it in the first place. I know why it’s needed and all the rest. It’s the application part that giving me problems. I know it’s probably an easy problem but then it doesn’t take much to confuse me. Does anyone have any good recommendations on foundation too? I have Rimmel Stay Matte but I don’t know if it’s a great one. Thanks.
for primer, you only need a little bit- enough to cover most of your face, focusing on the areas you will be applying most makeup, but not enough to make a new layer of skin.
it’s always a good idea to apply moisturizer under primer, because this helps the primer work better and is good for your skin long term.
i just apply my primer with my fingers. i have tried many primers and my favourite so far is makeup forever’s HD face primer in clear. it looks white in the bottle, but goes on clear. it smells good too lol 
as for foundation, it depends what kind of coverage youre looking for. if you need fuller coverage, i would recommend MAC’s studio fix fluid, or revlon colorstay. if you are looking for something with buildable coverage, i would recommend makeup forever HD liquid foundation, laura mercier’s silk creme foundation, or l’oreal’s true match liquid foundation.
top it all off with a setting powder, and youre all good
